It will become your roadmap for an organized and spotless holiday home celebration. The best part is, you can use it again the next year! Merry Christmas! The Holiday Cleaning Plan First things first, you need to break down all tasks that need cleaning and divide them into daily and weekly assignments. Day 2 Check window screens, remove cobwebs and spider webs, then wash windows. Launder bed linens if needed. Wash any curtains that need it, including the bathroom shower curtain.

Damp-mop baseboards. Day 3 Straighten out bedrooms, dispose clutter or move it out of sight. Deep-clean bathrooms and any medicine cabinets. Day 4 Wash scatter rugs, set aside, so they are all fluffy and nice for Christmas day. Add new hangers if needed. If your closet is too small for that, make sure that the room where they will leave their coats and other possessions is clean and ready for them.

Pick a spot for incoming boots, perhaps with a mud tray for them to use. Day 5 Clear out the refrigerator, making room for holiday foods. Throw out everything that had already expired. Clean the range or stove top, grates, and surfaces.

The South Rim is 7, feet above sea level, which means snow in winter and cool nights even in summer. All shops, hotels, and restaurants are open during regular hours, making it a perfect place to pick up that last minute gift or to grab a bite to eat while out with your family. There is also a wonderful selection of Native American jewelry, western clothing, souvenir t-shirts, and videos of the Grand Canyon to show or gift to your friends back home.

Grand Plan

If you have ever waited in line to enter the Grand Canyon National Park or squeezed past a crowd of tourists trying to get a glimpse of the park's beauty, you deserve to treat yourself to at least one off-season visit. During the Christmas season, there are no crowds at vista points and on hiking trails. You will have time to reflect on the beauty of the Grand Canyon, take as long as you wish to compose photographs, and even drive through the park, unlike in peak tourist season when you may have to take the tram.

Luckily, rooms are usually available at all lodges during the Christmas season.
